The communities around Ft Lewis and McChord Air Force Base have a ton of great Italian restaurants, but today we’re focusing on our three locally owned favorites for a romantic night out with your special someone.

Marzano- One of the best kept secrets around, Owner and chef Elisa Marzano has been delighting local palates for 20 years. Born and raised near the city of Vicenza in Northern Italy, Elisa brings with her the passion of cooking Italian cuisine.  Make sure you make a reservation, because this incredibly intimate restaurant is small and consistently packed.  Try the tortellini aurora and the homemade tiramisu.

Adriatic Grill – Chef Bill Trudnowski and his wife Monique opened this elegant Italian restaurant just 2 years ago. Chef Bill was in the Army, and offers a 25% Military Discount all active duty, retired and reserve service members and their dependents, up to 4 people. With flattering lighting, romantic Italian music, and the most delicious Rigatoni Bolognese ever to grace a plate- this is a date night slam dunk.

Europa– Real Italian chef? Check. Intimate size? Check. Delicious Homemade Pasta? Check and double check. Located in the heart of Proctor, a window shop walkable little neighborhood just up the hill from the Ruston Way Waterfront.  Chef Alfredo and his team make the bread and pasta fresh every day.

These are just a few of the incredibly charming local restaurants located near Ft Lewis & McChord. We’ll keep ’em coming.
