When Rebecca and Andy Horn first relocated to JBLM from Germany they knew they wanted to buy a home.  In the beginning they made the decision to live on base, and set out to explore open houses in various neighborhoods on their own. “We learned that there was a lot to buying a house and that we’d need a professional to help,” says Rebecca Horn.  “Regina Madiera Gorden was an agent at one of the open houses we went to. She was very profesional and organized.  She stuck out to us in all the right ways so we decided to give her a call to help us find our new home.”

The neighborhood the Horns liked best was Gig Harbor. Gig Harbor is located just over the Narrows Bridge from Tacoma is a picturesque slice of northwest life.  Surrounded by Evergreens and the Puget Sound, Gig Harbor is known as The Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula.  One of the premier locations in the country for waterfront living, Gig Harbor has multiple locations for mooring boats as well as many private homes with salt water access.

Since Gig Harbor real estate can be expensive, they were having trouble finding what they wanted. “We had looked into Gig Harbor and knew people from the area but couldn’t find a home we like within our price range,” Remembers Rebecca. “Regina worked her magic and found a home that we feel in love with instanly.”

The Horns are happily settled into their new life in Gig Harbor now. “We love our neighborhood,” says Rebecca. “It has a small town feel but has all the great things about living in or close to a large city. The small historic down town is great and the schools are amazing.”
